Campaign designed to help you find valuable resources for Provincial and Federal Elections. We've covered everything from registering to learning more about candidates and voting. If you're passionate about issues affecting students and our UFV community, voting is one of the most important ways to ensure that your voice is heard at all levels of government.


Be Ready to Vote

+ iMPORTANT ELECTION DATES:

  • Campaign period begins: September 21
  • Online and telephone voter registration closes: October 7
  • Advance voting: October 10-13, 15-16
  • Last day to request a vote-by-mail package online or by phone: October 13
  • Final Voting Day: October 19
  • Final count: October 26 – 28
  • Return Day: November 5

+ How to register to vote or update voter information:

  • Go to the Elections BC webpage for registration
  • Click on the blue highlighted word “online” on the page
  • Click on the “Next” button on the bottom of the page
  • Follow the prompts and input the correct information

+ What do I need to vote:

  • One piece of Government issued photo ID OR

  • Two pieces of Government issued non-photo ID (At least one piece of Government issued non-photo ID must have your current address)

+ Where and when can I vote:

  • Go to the Elections BC website
  • Select “Where to Vote” from the toolbar on the left
  • Click on the blue highlighted PDF “Preliminary advance voting places” on the page
  • Click on the blue highlighted PDF “Preliminary election day voting places” on the page
