OUR STORY.

Here at Fair Grounds Coffee, we strive to create a high-quality coffee experience. Whether it's your cappuccino, London fog to go, or the bag of beans you brew at home, we want your experience at Fair Grounds to be the best one yet.

We opened in the fall of 2015 as a fair trade, eco-friendly, organic, and ethical coffee shop in the Student Union Building. In addition to our Canterbury roastery coffee and espresso, we also offer a broad selection of brewed teas, bakery items, and a variety of in-house grab-and-go items. Enjoy your favourite beverage and snack while on break from your classes.

Salt Spring Coffe! Salt Spring Coffee is a premium coffee brand that offers a unique and delicious coffee experience. Their beans are sustainably sourced from small-scale farmers around the world and carefully roasted in small batches to ensure maximum flavor and freshness. Whether you prefer a light, medium, or dark roast, Salt Spring Coffee has a blend that will suit your taste. Not only does their coffee taste amazing, but the company also focuses on environmental and social responsibility, making it a great choice for conscious coffee drinkers. Using Salt Spring Coffee is not only a treat for your taste buds, but also a way to support ethical and sustainable practices in the coffee industry.

+ What brand of tea do you serve?

We use Two Leaves and a Bud. Two Leaves and a Bud is an independent tea company from Colorado, known internationally for producing high-quality organic and fair trade teas. Two Leaves and a Bud was a pioneer of the pyramid-shaped sachet. The special shape and size of the sachet allows the tea to infuse completely, providing fuller flavour and a more memorable tea experience.

+ Do you offer dairy alternatives?

Yes! Oat milk and coconut milk are readily available.

+ Do you carry Gluten-Friendly items?

We are currently working on adding gluten-friendly items to our menu.

Yes we do! Right now we have vegan croissants. We are working hard to add more vegan options to the menu. Check back soon!

Yes, we do! We have gift cards available for purchase during our operating hours.

+ What do I do if I have an old FairGrounds gift card?

Just come by and our team will exchange the old card for a new one, with the remaining balance.
